How to Replace an audi keyless entry G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor is used as a reference to correlate with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft reached TDC and also the position of the camshaft, so that it can activate the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails to function, the ECU will display a P00160 error code. This means that the Crank Shaft is not in line with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate a chain stretch or a jumpy chain link in the upper chain. However the code will not be displayed on its own without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).
Testing can be a bit difficult because there are two connector pins, and they have different functions but the best method of testing it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. If the sensor is operational, it should read around 1000 ohms. If you're having issues with this component, look for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at full speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning, three were soaked with gasoline and the fourth was unclean. When I crank the engine with no sparks, i place a tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 drenched with gazoline leap out, however the 4th stay closed. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I get 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it runs fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue persists at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars but the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not sure what to do, i think i've pretty much eliminated everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal sent from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender and both work on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily find a spare in a wrecking shop or audi replacement key a parts store. Testing them is easy by putting your DMM in resistance mode and measure between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector end up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black connector's end).
