The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and it has many options for customizing. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill, an option available in other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water is left but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer periods, and dual compressors to preserve food items. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This refrigerator is a great choice for single household or kitchenettes that want a built-in look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for a few reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, never fluctuating more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial to avoiding freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also did well. It reached the initial temperature set within a matter of hours, and maintained that temperature throughout our testing.

Inside, the refrigerator has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins on each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the great aspects of this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, making it simple to move frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is needed. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, too, like sliding drawers to help you better organize the placement of items. It has a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate one for ice.

Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a little cheaper than the top counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which helps make it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a basic refrigerator that might not be as eye-catching as some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make it a an excellent choice. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer which helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated above the two crisper bins, is a great feature. This drawer allows you to use the majority of your fridge's cooling power to this area, so that you can store foods that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.

During my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in various parts of the fridge. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary very far from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a solid performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It does an excellent job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared with glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
