If you're on a tight budget and don't want a stroller that can double as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push and it is solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the ultimate lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a delicate, elegant aesthetic. The frame's base weight is less than a kilogram, and is so light that it is able to be lifted from the box with one hand.

It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments such as the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 by clicking and is machine washable at 30deg to prevent staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be transformed into a single stroller cheap at 6 months using the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller. It can be converted from a stroller to a wagon just by flipping the handle, which means parents can pick the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate two or three children ranging from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a large storage basket that will hold all your necessities while on the go.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as some other wagons that we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we think you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the latest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is designed to take baby from birth up to around 3.5 years, converting easily into a seat and carrycot by just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base, and a reversible car.

It is really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child out and in quickly. Despite this being quite a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position or pivot. This is useful in rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate while walking along an uneven path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt a little rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than the other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other items.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other prams' hoods which are bounced back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum that will see you through your baby's first years and beyond. It's got a lot of standout features, like the ability of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing as well as a large UPF50+ canopy, a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets with ease.

It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically without fuss. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transportation down the stairs or in the trunk of the car. It also comes equipped with the option to include a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes have a single stroller with bench seat action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is easy to operate and features an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also light and durable. The seat is reclined in many positions and has a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best as it’s not as quiet as Velcro, and can cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face each other or can be turned around to face their parents, potentially reducing sibling rivalries over who should sit with mom and dad. It comes with a big gear tray, a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has a superior folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect stroller for parents who like to be active. It's among the lightest strollers you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness as well as a safety wrist strap. It also features an innovative twist hand brake that's different from the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit in, however the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers that we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things safe. It can hold up to 10lbs which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most bassinets and car seats for infants, but you can use them from the very first day with adapters that fit brands such as BOB, Graco combi single stroller Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby.
