Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers don't get much lighter or more compact than this one. Its sleek design is simple to fold into a neat rectangle shape and the wheels turn more easily than some other styles.

It also has an under-seat storage area as well as an arm-strap that makes it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be a bit noisy and could wake children who are asleep.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller that is also a compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its size. The basket in the back of the seat is spring loaded, so you can push it down to stuff bags for diapers or backpacks in, and it will open up to keep the contents. It also comes with an accessory tray for children and an adjustable backrest pad for the seat and a reclining seat back pad, which offer more options than you normally see on a stroller with a light weight.

It also comes with a canopy that you can open and shut to get the sun protection level you need. The handlebars are height-adjustable for a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't too impressed by the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We felt the wheels and suspension didn't perform a great job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is ideal for travel because it comes fully assembled in the box. It takes only a few simple steps to make it ready for use. The seat can be pushed back and forward to adjust the recline. It's a bit flat. Two buttons on the frame make it simple to fold and unfold. It can be tucked away in a very convenient carrying bag when not in use. It's actually one of the smallest strollers that we tested, and it meets most airline requirements for gate-checking, or cabin storage, on airplanes. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is a great option to those looking for a stroller that is lightweight. It has all of the features that parents want in a stroller. This includes all-terrain tires and front suspension to ensure smooth riding. It's also extremely light and weighs less than 12 pounds. And it has a convenient fold that is self-single standing stroller and one-hand. It also has an adult tray and a child tray each with two cup holders.

Its design isn't high, and it did not perform well in our test of maneuverability. It also has a swivel frame which makes pushing it over rough terrain seem like lifting a huge weight. It may be fine if you only use the stroller on sidewalks with paved surfaces. However, for most people, it's not ideal.

The Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy and a peek-a-boo window for added sun protection. Its multi-position seat accommodates children up to 50 pound and has the 5-point safety restraint system. This is an excellent feature for older toddlers who have outgrown infant car seats.

It's small and folds down in one step. It can be folded by pressing a button. It also comes with a convenient foot-activated break that's easy to create and then release.

The handle is lower than most strollers we've examined however some parents may feel uncomfortable using it for extended periods. It does come with the ability to lock the handle to keep it in place while open however. This is a good feature to have if are planning to use the stroller over uneven or muddy terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate stroller for parents on the go. The compact stroller is easy to fold down and up and can easily fit in overhead compartments on planes, as well as in trunks at the amusement park (no more worrying about parking charges). It comes with a carrying bag that zips up for convenient storage. It can be used with the infant car adapter from birth and provides excellent sun protection with its canopy. The only downside for some parents is that they feel the look cheap and utilitarian.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a little more expensive than other lightweight buggy single strollers, but it was designed specifically for luxurious travel and urban living. It's among the smallest strollers to fold (and includes a convenient carry case) It also has a nice amount of storage space, including the cup holder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both children and adult. This is the only stroller on our list that comes with an adapter for car seats to allow it to be used with babies. The handlebar cannot be adjusted and could pose an issue for some parents who are taller.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it offers a ton of great features that help kids travel more easily. The spacious seat reclines into a flat position and has additional padding to make those airplane naps more comfortable. The canopy that can be extended has a lot of sun-shade and the tray on the front provides plenty of storage. It also features a spring-loaded handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. The footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

The Uppababy Minu V2 is a top stroller that doesn't skimp on quality and design. Its compact design makes it easy to navigate through narrow streets and tight spaces, but its sturdy structure allows it to withstand rough terrain without compromising the comfort of your child. The spring-action suspension on the front and back creates a more comfortable ride, and its sturdy materials ensure it can withstand everyday wear and tear. It can also be extended to accommodate other accessories, such as a bassinet and infant car seat.

Even with a baby in the mix, the Minu was a breeze to fold and maneuver. Its squat fold that opens into three sections, was one of the easiest we tested. This allows it to easily fit into overhead compartments of planes and public transport. It also features a color-coded single umbrella stroller-action brake that's simple to use.

The seat has a multi-position recline and one-handed adjustable leg rest, so it's easy to find the ideal position for your child. The UPF 50+ hood went down quite a bit and was ideal for protecting Cora's eyes from the sun (though not as low as some other strollers). There is also a medium-sized mesh peek-a-boo window which closes magnetically, and is glued to the canopy, rather than using noisy Velcro.

With a weight of just under 15 pounds at just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry with a built-in carry handle and shoulder strap. It can also be stored in the trunk of your vehicle, and it comes single pushchair with buggy board a storage bag and access to the Uppababy TravelSafe program that adds two years onto the manufacturer's warranty and provides replacements for items damaged in the course of air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy, a well-known stroller brand that makes several models. This lightweight stroller is ideal for parents looking for a sturdy stroller to transport their children. It is easy to maneuver, has plenty of storage, and is not difficult to fold. It's not the best lightweight single stroller choice if you want a car seat-compatible model, or a double stroller, however. It isn't compatible with infant car seats. Your children must be able sit up on their backs before you can use it.

This stroller comes with a number of solid features, and it comes with a hefty price. It scored higher in our maneuverability test than other strollers with similar specs. It's an excellent choice for smooth paved surfaces. It also comes with a great canopy and plenty of storage including a spacious parent tray. The front wheel suspension is stiff and the handlebar is smaller than average, but it still provides a comfortable ride for adults.

If you have twins, or two kids of different in age, you might find a side by side stroller is the best way for them to travel in. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove. It is loaded with features and has a tiny footprint that allows it to fit into places where other side-byside strollers can't.

It has individually reclining seats, a large canopy with an open window, and plenty of storage. It's heavier than other side-bysides but has a decent capacity and weight limit. It can carry most kids up to 50 pounds. It is possible to add a bassinet on the front of the stroller to accommodate infants.

If you are looking for an even more luxurious version of this stroller the Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller is a worthy alternative. It has the same great features and can be fitted out with a bassinet so you can bring your baby home in style after leaving the hospital.
