It's a bit tricky to test as there are various connector pins, and they all have different functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read about 1000 ohms if the sensor is at full operation. 2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll i had an abrupt drop in power like the engine is out of gas or injectors aren't firing any more. I took out the spark plugs this morning, three were drenched in gasoline and the 4th was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each hole in the injector and when I start the engine with no sparks, the three with gazoline jump out. The fourth one remains shut. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is in another place.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it is running fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem still occurs at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even if it is not plugged in, shows an ice temperature of -49c. Also, i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do. I believe that I've ruled everything else out. But i am afraid i might have missed something. Let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor.
