Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a special item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be put in armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the kind of item upgrader mod.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be placed into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is utilized. The equipment being upgraded must have an upgrade slot to accommodate the component, and most upgrade components require the item to be upgraded to be above an amount. Some upgrade items (Look At This) also have special effects when they are applied to an item. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought by Karma merchants, or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and received as rewards.

A variety of upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, can be used on any kind of equipment, and offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, and enrichments can be used on some back equipment that is ascended. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are inserted into an item, but doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be used into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both are able to be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias or enchantments, as well as upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia could change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the item's tooltip.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add decorative and functional elements to an OpenType font. These include ligatures, fractions, or ornaments as well as registered trademark symbols, ellipses and swashes as well as swashes. The Glyphs panel allows you to view and insert these special characters, as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes, en dashes, registered trademark symbols and characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph gives a character boost in primary stats. It also includes up to four Secondary Stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. You can level up Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more challenging the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph attains level 15, it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

When a Glyph is at the desired level you can activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will give the stated bonus and also boost the other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed in areas that will benefit your build the most. This is why you should consider Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Some glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits when certain conditions are satisfied which is why they're worth checking out for too.

Click the cycle widget to change the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs further by choosing an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves creating an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of acquiring the weapon or character you want. This can be done to help you level up faster or to obtain better loot, like a better weapon for your character. Many players roll again until they find the characters that they like regardless of their strength. This can be because they like the character's design or character.

Sets

When you upgrade a set item, it becomes an entirely new version that is superior to the previous one. This means that armor and weapons will have a greater defense value and lower strength requirements.

Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to parity with items in higher-level sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could boost the defense from 217 to 321 and decrease the strength requirements and levels to an acceptable range.

However it's important to keep in mind that not all set items are suitable candidates for upgradation. Some sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzlers are Exceptional in their own rights and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and see frequent use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their performance even more. For these types of items, it could be worth the extra expense to upp them.
