The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport Utility is the ideal stroller for parents who want to step off the beaten track and get some exercise. This jogging stroller features pneumatic knobby tires that are great for trail runs and a hand brake that lets you manage the downhills. It also features a state-of the-art suspension system, a two-step folding, and a large cargo basket. If you buy the right adapters, you can use it with the child car seat.

The main flaw of this jogging stroller is its weight and folded dimensions. It weighs 25 pounds and folds down to 17,850 cubic inches, which is average for this group. Its large footprint isn't ideal for narrow turns or trunk spaces, though it has a small handle near the back of the basket that you can pull to collapse it into a compact, flat position.

The Sport Utility stroller, like the other BOBs reviewed in this review, has optional car seat adapters. This lets you use it with a variety of car seats for infants. In our tests, it took about 5:24 hours to put together the stroller from unpacking it to being ready to run. The assembly was straightforward however you'll need a Philips screwdriver. The manual included is easy to follow and well-organized, but it's an excellent idea to have one on hand just in case.

The front wheel lockable can be locked while strolling, and locked for running. The large storage basket is able to hold essential travel necessities.

In the Strollers test program of Consumer Reports, the Baby Trend Expedition jogger performs well in general for the price and is rated higher than many of its competitors in a variety of categories. This includes ease of using the 5-point harness, folding and unfolding and adjusting the backrest, engaging the brakes on the wheel, and removing the infant car seat and installation (only for compatible models). It is designed with a simple one-handed recline, that is sufficient for sleep. The canopy cover with an adjustable ratcheting isn't easy to use. It takes about 8 minutes to install, and the instructions are confusing due to multiple languages and confusing illustrations.

The only downside to this jogger is that it doesn't have suspension, which means the ride could be more bumpy than some of the other all-terrain strollers we've tested. This might cause discomfort for young kids, especially when they're on edge of taking a nap. The air-filled wheels are nice but don't offer as much cushioning as rubber tires on higher-end strollers.

This is a great choice for those who don't exercise often but still need to be able to easily move across grass or gravel without having to worry about curbs or other obstacles. The pushchair is equipped with a range of features that make it ideal to tackle any type of terrain with front suspension as well as a handlebar brake. It comes with an adjustable quilted liner, as well as a multi-position recline, along with a 5-point safety harness that is padded and hinged bar. It's also travel system-compatible that allows you to use it with the Cybex Maxi-Cosi or Be-Safe infant car seats.
