Space Key is being developed by a non-publicized artist and based on the latest carbon fiber composite materials that were shipped to the International Space Station as research material, is a new project that was announced by Lamborghini.

The Space Key is a collection of five physical objects that will unlock a special digital art by an unidentified artist. Developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) The collector's piece is limited to just five units and will be auctioned off in the near future.

Each Space Key contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material, which was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth the space key was made into the QR code which links it to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a distinct moment that happens seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Over 600 million pixels make each of the five images, that were taken by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner used a balloon with a camera, which took each of the individual shots which were later merged into the final image. The result is an out of this world image that reveals the beauty of the Earth as well as the futuristic, hyper-realistic picture of the car erupting from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, but the exact date and time of the event haven't been set yet.
