Albums

Toto's discography comprises 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band did session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 following the collaboration.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985, lead singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group, 토지노 사이트 and the band held auditions to find a new frontman. The band chose guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.

Toto has released a number of music videos. The band has released a variety of compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the band is "Africa" that has over one billion views on YouTube. The video is set in a library, where the band performs on top of an African book stack.

The song "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. It was written by the band members and produced by David Paich. It was a huge success in Europe and many other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their popularity after their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in America.

Toto was formed following Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and Boz Scaggs recorded Silk Degrees. Paich played keyboards on Steely Dan's records, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

In 1998, Toto began working on a special project called Old Is New. The album featured three new tracks as well as a number of completed recordings of songs from the past. The album became a huge success and the band embarked on a tours to promote it.
