How to Replace an audi replacement keys G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor

The ECU then utilizes this information to regulate fuel, timig and boost. It also sends an indication to the G5 Tachometer within the instrument cluster.
The sensor is used to link the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu needs to know when the crankshaft has reached TDC and also the location of the camshaft to trigger the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails the ECU will show the P00160 error, which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are out of sync and could indicate the chain is stretched or a jump link on the upper timing chain. The code will not appear without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It's a bit tricky to test because there are several pins on the connector, and they all have different functions. The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read around 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. If you're experiencing issues with this sensor, look for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant decrease in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. This morning i pull out the spark plugs. Three were drenched with gazoline the fourth was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each injector hole and when i turn the engine on without sparks, the ones that have gazoline pop right out. The 4th one remains closed. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got zero ohm. I assume that the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset PID without success. The car key cover audi will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it is running fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when unplugged, still shows an ice temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not certain what to do, i feel i have pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. Let me know if you have any ideas! TIA!

The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender and both work on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily locate an extra in a wrecking shop or parts store.
