Private ADHD Titration

There is currently a nationwide shortage of medication that helps to treat ADHD symptoms. This is due to manufacturing problems and an increased demand in the world.

Titration

It is essential for parents to take part in this process of titration and keep an eye on their child's behavior so that they can let the doctor know whether the medication is helping or causing adverse effects.

If you do not decide to return to NHS care and have decided to return to NHS care, your medication will be issued with a prescription from a private pharmacy that you'll need to pay for at the pharmacy (this is not included in your consultation fee). You must attend regular appointments every six months to monitor your medication - this includes blood pressure and pulse readings. Annual reviews are also required.

Follow-up appointments

Once the assessment is completed and you are satisfied, you can schedule follow-up appointments with your psychiatrist. The appointment will usually be conducted via zoom video call. However, in certain cases, it may be possible to have an audio-only appointment to be scheduled (again with an additional cost).
