Over time the handles on your doors will get worn out and need to be changed. It is essential to match the dimensions of the handles that were previously used when replacing them.

The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be positioned and angled to provide a comfortable grip and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested to 200,000 cycles. This will ensure the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever can also be cut to fit more locks. This is useful for narrower doors where the cylinder is further back in the door. A shorter lever is an ideal choice for doors where the latch can be activated by the thumb turn inside.

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently to the lever type handles on doors. These handles can use a single spindle (inline) or independently from both sides using two inline or offset spindles (pad). They are usually employed on UPVC doors with double glazing and come in a variety of finishes and variations.

The handles have been tested to a minimum of 200k cycles and are available in a variety of finishes, including White Silver, Chrome, & Gold. The finish is in line with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, which gives the handle a high degree of durability and performance for the intended use.

All UPVC handle lever pads include a spindle and screws and can be mounted on the uPVC door. The backplate fixing centers of 211mm allow for a wider handle, which can often be a benefit when replacing a faulty or worn multi-point door lock mechanism. The levers for these handles have springs, which eliminate the problem of handles for doors that slide out of the horizontal position when not being used.

A euro cylinder needs to be properly measured to ensure it is the right size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to the end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but when this isn't possible, you may remove it to take measurements. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon may be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, therefore it is crucial to make sure it's not too long.

Most newer cylinders have been designed with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. They are designed to minimize attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a different direction. This will help to stop the attack and ensure your doors are secure.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a quicker and more convenient method of gaining access than the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves no evidence of the break-in which could make it difficult to prove insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found inside the base plate of the door handle. It offers a spring-loaded solution to bring the multipoint lock handles to their original position after use. These spring cassettes were designed to be used with a spring multipoint locks. These cassettes can be used as a replacement double glazing window handles to damaged or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are supplied in a single unit. They come with a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
