    Study of Chinese Learners' Pedagogical Choices in Korean

    The results showed that CLKs, on average, did not conform to the norms of native speakers in more than 40 percent of their responses. They did this even when they could produce patterns that closely resembled natives. In addition, they were aware of their pragmatism. They attributed their choices to learner-internal aspects such as their identities, personalities and multilingual identities as well as ongoing life histories. They also spoke of external factors, such as relationships and benefits. They described, for example, how their relationships with their professors allowed them to perform more comfortably in terms of the linguistic and social norms at their university.
